The Marion County School District is composed of seven schools

Total enrollment
for the Marion County school district for fall of 2005 was 3066 students. Marion County also has one non-public school, St. Augustine, with 231 elementary students. The Marion County Area Technology Center, located in Lebanon, offers career opportunities to area high school graduates and is also used for adult classes in the evening. Within 70 miles of Lebanon are 18 colleges and universities, which also provides job placement for area graduates.

Mission Statement: St. Augustine Catholic School, a mission of St. Augustine Parish, exists to assist parents in the faith formation and education of their children. Carrying out the mission of Jesus Christ, we provide a program and process based on proven educational theories and the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church. We are committed to providing academic excellence, building faith community, teaching doctrine, serving the needs of others, providing sports and extra-curricular activities.
The educational program of each child, though similar because of common nature, differs according to individual needs. Students receive sequential instruction in:

All regular classroom teachers are certified by the State of Kentucky Department of Education.

Uniforms
Students are required to wear uniforms.

Technology
A multiple station lab is available to all students; each child receives teacher-directed instruction weekly.

Finance
St. Augustine is tuition-based and as such, parents contribute a fee for the education of their children. It is however, important to understand that St. Augustine Parish contributes substantially to the support of the school financially and spiritually.

Vocational-Technical Training

Kentucky Tech schools are operated by the Cabinet for Workforce Development and provide secondary (Sec) and post secondary (P/S) vocational-technical training.

Adult Basic Education

Adult education programs are available to adults who want to develop new skills, improve basic skills or earn a high school equivalency diploma. In Lebanon, adult literacy and adult basic education are provided through the Marion County Board of Education.

Bluegrass State Skills Corporation

The Bluegrass State Sills Corporation, an independent public corporation created and funded by the Kentucky General Assembly, provides programs of skills training to meet the needs of business and industry from entry level to advances training, and from upgrading present employees to retraining experienced workers.
