The Lebanon Police Department was established in 1815.  At that time officers were ill equipped (providing their own equipment) and poorly trained.

Today, the department operates from the facility located at 124 W. Mulberry Street, Lebanon, KY which was dedicated in December 2000.

The department is authorized 17 Officers, 6 Dispatchers, 2 Records Clerks, and 1 Public Safety Officer.

All officers are fully equipped, drive a “take-home “ cruiser fleet, required to complete a police basic course and minimum of 40 hours training per year.

Dispatchers are certified and take annual training.  Records Clerks are also cross-trained to dispatch.

Our School Resource Officer is assigned to Marion County High School and Lebanon Middle School with additional duties to include teaching D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) in all of Lebanon’s’ elementary schools.

The department monitors an information (TIPS) line at (270) 692-5529.

Officers are active in the community, serving on various community committees, holding memberships in local churches and civic groups, coaching youth sports and providing “programs” to the community.

The Lebanon Police Department is open 24 hours and day 7 days a week.
